“Over the Rainbow” was already a classic song, but Brother Iz stamped it firmly into eternity with his deep tenor rendering. With this Picture Lyrics video version I hope even more kids and language learners can appreciate and understand this beautiful piece. Sing along, and feel your troubles melt away with the strums of Iz’s ukulele. And see how to get the slides for your home or classroom here.

Weekly Release Update: Old MacDonald!
So I found a version of Old MacDonald with 9 animals – that’s a good amount! We teach this every year at Dream Kids in Tokyo and the kids love singing it, and pick it up so quickly looking at the pictures. Lots of good stuff in this song – not just the animals but “here”, “there”, and “everywhere”. You can find the slides for your home or classroom here, or just pop on the YouTube video and let the pictures and music play.
Weekly Release Update: Do Re Mi!
This week we posted two versions of the classic “Do Re Mi” to the YouTube channel – one starting at the very beginning of the song (a very good place to start!) and one from “Doe, a deer”. I have taught this song for the past three years at Dream Kids in Tokyo, and the kids love singing it, and pick it up so quickly looking at the pictures. You can find the slides for your home or classroom here, or just pop on the YouTube video and let the pictures and music play.
Introducing Picture Lyrics
Picture Lyrics is born! We enter the world in order to spread music and language by bringing the two together with pictures. And without any further ado, we’ll now let our first two videos explain the concept behind this site.
