Weekly Release Update: Roll Call from Thomas and Friends, in Japanese!
What’s catchier than the original “Roll Call” by Thomas and Friends? The Japanese version is what – too catchy, you’ll be singing this, and understanding what it means with the help of pictures!
This song is packed good learning material – lots of strong and powerful words, and practice reading the Japanese Hiragana and Katakana alphabets. You can also print out the slides for use at home or the classroom here, or let the video play and take it all in that way. Enjoy!
Weekly Release Update: Old MacDonald!
So I found a version of Old MacDonald with 9 animals – that’s a good amount! We teach this every year at Dream Kids in Tokyo and the kids love singing it, and pick it up so quickly looking at the pictures. Lots of good stuff in this song – not just the animals but “here”, “there”, and “everywhere”. Hello, and time for that burning question that no one has been able to answer – what does the fox say? This week’s release, the classic Ylvis animals song, attempts to answer that question. I have taught this song for the past three years at Dream Kids in Tokyo, and it always gets the kids dancing, singing, and enjoying English.
